Mattie has a small rash on her lower back and top of her tush. They are super tiny and don't appear to bother her. do you think it could be a heat rash?

My DS had this and I called the ped. It started at his butt and went all the way up to his neck. It wasn't red but you could feel it. The ped said it was from the dry cold air and to put Eucerin on it after a bath, then let him hang out in his diaper for 15 minutes then put his clothes on. That way his skin absorbs the lotion, not his clothes. It seems to have done the trick.

I have to agree with the poster above...My son whose now 3 1/2 still gets it because of the climate we live in...I have to lotion him down REALLY well or it comes back. The twins haven't gotten it yet because they get lotioned down every night after their bath so im keeping it at bay lol....
Also it can be a heat rash...depends on the climate they are in and surroundings.

Small tiny bumps can be a variety of things. If they are red, they are probably either heat rash or a yeast infection. Since it's not in her diaper area, it's probably not yeast, but yet watch it and see. It also could be the dry skin/excema thing.

That is what it sounds like.

I hope it clears up quickly. A heat rash never seemed to bother my two either.

  9. My son had something very similar. THe doc said to rub 1% hydrocortisone cream on it. It cleared up within a few days.
