Small step for mom

I took the girls to play in our backyard yesterday by myself. It sounds like such a non-event when I type it out, but it was really a huge deal for me! First of all, our backyard isn't fenced in. Also our property is very hilly. And we are remodeling our house so the deck isn't the best. But I did it and we had a blast! We bought the girls a small little tykes play set over the weekend off of craigslist and they had a blast going down the slide and in and out of the little door. I also brought out the doll strollers they got for their birthday, some dolls, some balls, and our wagon. We were out there was almost 2 hours playing and they had fun, and also importantly SO DID I!!! It wasn't nearly as daunting as I thought.

Next thing to tackle... the kiddie pool by myself

Good job! I love going outside with the girls (but, granted, I have a fenced in backyard). It is so nice to get out of the house! Enjoy!

I can't wait to take my two out and have them play around. We go out on a blanket...but they want NO part of the grass right now :lol:

Yay Leighann! My absolute favorite part of the day is taking the boys into the backyard to play. They have three Little Tykes play sets all set up right next to each other and they have a blast playing on them. They've learned how to climb up them and slide down them by themselves. And they can also take turns climbing into the little swing and push each other. I can actually pull a chair up in front of them and SIT DOWN while they play! It's amazing! Have fun playing outside!
