Hi everyone. I’m dealing with slow drains in my kitchen and bathroom, and it’s driving me crazy. Water just sits there and drains forever. I tried basic cleaners, but nothing helped. Could it be something serious, or am I overthinking it? Any advice?

Sounds like a pretty common issue. A lot of homes deal with this from time to time, especially in older buildings. Sometimes it’s simple, sometimes not, so it’s good you’re asking around first.

I had almost the exact same problem last year, and at first I also thought it was just a minor clog. Turned out, it was a deeper blockage that normal store-bought cleaners couldn’t reach. If drains are slow in more than one place, it’s often a sign the issue is further down the line. What helped me was getting proper information about professional drain cleaning in the area. I found https://bens.plumbing/areas/wallingford/drain-cleaning/ really useful because it explained what causes these problems and how they’re usually fixed. It also helped me understand when DIY makes sense and when it’s better to call someone. After that, I stopped guessing and actually solved the issue without wasting more money on random products.
