So ... We just put the twins to bed ... I ate dinner, and I went to pee. I have some blood on the toilet paper. It's not even on my panty liner or anything ... and I feel fine, no cramping or anything like that.

It's 815pm on a Saturday night ... what would you guys do?

Should I call my OB now? Or wait and see if the bleeding continues or gets worse? I feel like even if I call her, she isn't going to tell me to go to the emergency room, is she??

I never had any bleeding episodes with my twins, so I'm really not sure what to do!

    Any advice??

Erica I don't have any advice. I would call the OB just for peace of mind if I were you.

Is it bright red or is it dark red/brown? If it's darker it's probably old blood, but if it's bright red then it's new and I would call the OB. I hope everything is ok!

I'd call the OB. When I was 13 weeks pregnant with the boys-I woke up suddenly feeling like I had just gotten my period. I ran to the bathroom with my legs closed-and I sat down-and sure enough there was blood. It was dark red/brown. And when I wiped-there was red blood. I was somewhat panicked as I was worried I was m/c.

We went to the OB and was there first thing... we ended up being there for over 4 hours, had the u/s, was checked by the ob... And we found out it was a subchorionic bleed. I believe it's actually fairly common, especially with multiples. The Dr. put me on bedrest and took me out of work for the remainder of the week(this was a Tuesday-but I went back to work on Thursday). I bled a tad bit more that Sunday and that was the end of that.

Let us know what the Dr says.

Erica - I would call. I wouldn't hesitate to call your OB for any concern at all, I'm sure a triplet pregnancy needs to be monitored very closely, even so early on.

FWIW - I also had bleeding on a Sat. night with H&N. Not a lot, but enough to freak me out. I was probably 10 or 11 weeks. I called my OB Sun morning and he had me come in Monday for an ultrasound to verify everything was okay. It was a huge relief and I was glad I called and went in.

It's probably nothing, so try not to get too worried, but I would call :grouphug: And let us know what happens!!

i had some bleeding a week or two ago and called the emergecy line they have. she told me to just lay with my feet up and relax and if i had any blood that made it to my panty liner more than the size of a half dollar to call her back. i also only had it when i wiped, it was bringht red with no cramping.
i called my ob on monday morning but had had no other bleeding so they said it should be fine.
i would call just to let them know and see what they say. good luck

I had some bleeding with the twins, but it was earlier. As others have said, the color of the blood would be a factor. I hope you called your doctor just to give you some peace in dealing with it. I hope you are well.

Sorry I didn't update earlier ... the twins kept me away from the laptop. It stopped last night ... never got to much ... it was bright red, but not much.

I did call the OB this morning .. and she said to call back if it starts up again ... and if I want to come in earlier I can, but I have an appt Thursday anyway.

I'm leaving it up to my sister. So unless it starts again, I think we will just wait till Thurs.

    So glad it stopped:)

WE lost a baby back in Nov 07 and I only bled 1 time for a second and it was brown blood. I went right to the ER and was told I lost the baby:( Went to the OB the next day and there was a heart beat but faint. I was on bedrest for the next 2 weeks never bleeding again just that one time but when I went back 2 weeks later the baby was gone:( So anytime theres blood involved I would go to the ER just to have a check. you just never know.

With Tyler in the early weeks I had a pocket of blood next to him but I never bled at all.

    I hope all is well!!

Just to encourage you, I've had varying degrees of bleeding with all 3 of my pregnancies. Spotting for my first... one episode of heavy bleeding/passing a clot with the twins, and three very dramatic gushing bleeds with my 3rd...and all three have turned out fine, healthy full term kids. So although it's scary, and sometimes doesn't turn out well, I'm an example of how bleeding can occur, even quite dramatically, and things can still turn out okay. Hopefully it won't occur again so you and your sister don't have to worry so much.

Thanks for the support guys. It's hard with trips, because on one hand, I'm still SO nauseous, I feel like, everything MUST be fine, but then again I was this sick with twins, so what if something is wrong with one of them?

Since we have an appt on Thurs, I'm just going to wait it out ... thats what my sis wants to do too ... so really, it's her call. I will certainly update on Thursday!

I'm thinking that a triplet pregnancy wouldn't necessarily make you even more nauseous than a twin pregnancy.... Hopefully you feel better soon. Is your sister able to help you out with the twins or get you some help with your twins? I'm sure that you will need to rest more as the pregnancy progresses!

I also had some spotting with the twins. I was told not to worry unless it was accompanied by cramping. I'm glad it stopped for you though. Please update us on Thurs. BTW I'm still in AWE by what you are doing for your sister!!!! :)
