Since the girls are still young (5 weeks corrected), they're still in our room but we've found we can't lay them next to eachother to sleep anymore. We have the co-sleeper on the bed but we can only put one in it because if they're too close to eachother, they seem to prevent eachother from falling asleep.

As they are fussing to fall asleep one will fuss just as the other is drifting off and it will wake her up and vice versa... how am I ever going to have them sleep in the same room let alone the same crib? any ideas?

They will eventually get used to each other. How about trying some white noise in the room or a crib soother to help them get to sleep and help with the noise.

I wanted my twins to sleep together, but moved them to separate cribs for the same reason within weeks. I also purchased two noise machines for their room. They have now learned to sleep through each other for the most part unless it's close to the time they get up anyway.

My girls are now 4 years old and have never learned to sleep through each other. It's crazy!
People used to tell me that they would eventually get used to each other, but it never happend. One only has to make the slightest peep and then they're both awake. Sorry for sounding negative, just wanted to sare my experience with this.
So, I would seperate them as much as you can for sleep. Good luck!

Thx! I'll try the noise machine.. Hopefully they take after their dad and become heavy sleepers!

We moved our girls into their own crib in the same room at 7 weeks because one of them was a wiggler and would keep awake or wake up the other one. We also used a white noise machine and more often than not, they sleep through each other now.

My girls wake each other up as well. We started out with one crib, but then my sister volunteered her crib and we took her up on it. We put the 2nd crib in the guest bed room.

We keep the bathroom fans going for the noise, but we are going to have to buy a white noise machine because they don't sleep well at grandmas or in a hotel room because of the lack of noise.
