My twins are 5 weeks old. They sleep alot. They are usually awake and alert after feedings for 15-45 min then they fall asleep until the next feeding. (they eat every 2-3 hours)
Is this normal? (They were born at 37 weeks)

I don't remember DS2 being so sleepy in the beginning.

Mine were like that too, either eating or sleeping. I too thought that something might be wrong but they started to stay awake longer and longer after about 6 weeks. Enjoy it while it lasts!!! :p

Mine practically stayed asleep the entire first month. Now I have the exact opposite problem so like the previous poster said, enjoy it while it lasts. :)

Mine didn't "wake up" until around 3.5 months! They slept a lot! Enjoy it! :)

Mine too, although mine were 35 weekers. They are STILL sleeping a lot. Don't worry!

Sounds normal to me, my guys were really sleepy up until about 2 months, then we did the colic thing with Sean, then they woke up. Now I can't get them to sleep!

Like pp said, enjoy it! My ds slept for the first 3 months, only woke up to eat. DD has always been the alert one, but once he hit 3 months he started staying up for longer periods of time.

My girls were asleep all the time at that age. They were only up a half hour or so and then went right back to sleep. Oh, such wonderful peaceful times---what happened?!!
