Sleeping through the night

My girls are almost 13 months old and still are waking a couple times at night, i just go in and give them their binky and they typically will go back to sleep. I do put extra binky's in there so then can find own their own, but sometimes they dont. I am afraid to let one of them cry for too long, i am worried she will wake the other. any suggestions?

 

Well, if they're used to each other crying a bit I bet they won't wake each other. I think you might try to just let them cry - they really need to learn to put themselves back to sleep at this point. Also, put a few more binkies in the crib so they can find one themselves....hope that helps - but you're never going to know if it wakes the other if you don't try. Plus, when they're tired enough, they'll fall asleep again

 

I know the correct answer is to let them cry it out. Even if it wakes the other one, they will eventually both fall back to sleep, and then learn to do that all the time. But, I am the LAST person to tell someone to try that, since I have the hardest time letting that happen. I can let them cry it out to go to sleep, but the middle of the night is a killer for me. It stinks but sometimes you have to bit the bullet and take it away. Can you give them lots of extra ones? I wish I had better advice. :hug99:

 

None of mine were binky babies, but a friend of mine's were. She put, literally, fifteen or twenty pacis in the crib! You could try that. Or just do a few and put on a breathable bumper or crib tent so they don't fall out.
