My girls are 7 weeks and all the sudden Lia started sleeping through the night (6-8 hrs at a time) and naps alot during the day she used to be my good eater and want to eat all the time but now she wont wake up at all to eat unless i wake her up!! ... Is that normal?? My other girl Lisa naps on and off during the day and sleeps on and off at night and feeds every two hours in the day about every 3-4 at night...

    Anyone else have this problem?

Sorry - mine never did that. Hopefully someone else will have some advice to share.

I wonder if she could be going through a growth spurt. Are you tracking how much she is eating? I would think as long as she is getting at least the minimum the pedi recommends for the age, that all should be well.

My first question would also be how much is she getting total? And more importantly, is she still having wet and poopy diapers? :hug99:

yeah she is still having alot of wet and poopy diapers.. maybe 2-3 poops and too many pees to count..

i am breastfeeding so I cant say exactly how much they are eating.. Sometimes she eats longer then other times..

My advice would be to call the pedi to let them know if you are concerned.
When my girls were that young my pedi still wanted us to wake to feed around every 3-4 hours, even at night.
But soon after 2.5 months he said we could let them sleep at night if they were able to but to keep up the every 3 hours during the day.
    :)

It sounds like she is doing ok then! But, if you are still concerned, I would call the ped. There is something to be said for momma's peace of mind, and maybe just a weight check will provide you with that? :hug99:

I agree with Becky. They'll probably ask about wet diapers since tiny babies can dehydrate very quickly. But if you are concerned, definitely call. If she was eating a lot before and is now sleeping a lot, she could be going thru a growth spurt.
