    Help!
One of my girls only wants to sleep on her belly. She is almost 6 months old, but the problem is that she can't roll from her belly to her back yet (but she can roll from her back to her belly - weird I know). Should I be freaked out? I move her back everytime I see her, but I can't stand by her bed all night!

Once they start rolling, there is nothing you can do. No matter how many times we roll them over they will just go back to how they are comfortable. Just make sure there is no loose bedding, stuffed animals or anything like that in bed

We have a stomach sleeper as well. The only thing we did was to change the bumpers from the pretty ones that came with the bed set to the mesh ones. Our dd likes to sleep on her belly with her face right up against the bumper so the mesh one makes us feel a lot safer. And of course, as pp said nothing should be in the crib with them. We just have several pacis in there so in the middle of the night she can find one of them.

We had the same problem with my son. We bought an angel care monitor for extra reassurance. It was well worth the money!

One of mine started rolling both way at 3 months. I asked the pediatrician about it and he said normally when they can roll, they don't have to stay on their backs. Then he said mine was too little for that rule, that it normally applies around six months. So I'd say you are fine.

Let her do what makes her happy. Once ours starting flipping, we agreed we couldn't spend all day/night flipping back over. We removed everything from cribs except for the bumper pads.

Both of my sleep on their stomach--they won't sleep otherwise. All four of my kids have been that way. I don't put anything but them and their blanket in the crib.

My little ones have always been tummy sleepers. We don't have anything in the crib with them. I think that once they can roll, you pretty much have to give them their way, otherwise you will be constantly rolling them back all night long.

Ditto - I wouldn't be worried. Mine started belly sleeping at 4 months and have been ever since then. Now, at 18 months, Morgan sleeps with an entire zoo of stuffed animals in her crib...lol!

Cassie said it! There's not a lot you can do. More tummy time during the day to learn to go to her back is the only suggestion I have. Teach her to go the other way and she'll be in great shape!
