I am expecting twins in June and am thinking I will want them in my bedroom for the first couple of months and want to know if I can put them in the same bassinet. Also, what type of bassinets have you all used in the past to make this type of arrangement work. The only thing I have found so far is a portable play yard bassinet for twins. Please give me some ideas about the sleeping arrangments for the first few months. thanks

We kept the girls in a PNP basinet for the first few months until they out grew the weight limit(20lbs I think). They also shared a crib till they were 14 months old. A regular basinet wouldn't work for very long expecially if you have close to term babies.

You can try the cosleeper (not the mini) and they will fit together for many months!

I'm getting the full size Arm's Reach Co-sleeper. It has a higher weight limit than the pack n play, and I did not like the twin pack n play because it has separate bassinets. You can find good deals on the co-sleeper on ebay or craigslist!

I had both girls in a regular pack n play with full bassinet until the reached the 15 lb weight limit. Then I put one in a regular bassinet (hand-me-down :)) and left the other in the pnp bassinet. My girls actually slept in their pnp's in our room until almost 10 months old because it was easier for me that way.

we will just use the reg PNP beside our bed agian with two instead of one! my DS's both sleep in the PNP for few months then we switch them over to a reg crib by 4/5 mos:)

We set up one of the cribs in our bedroom. That made night feedings really easy. They were able to stay together longer than having the two of them in a small bassinet. They also outgrew the pnp bassinet really fast since ds was 8lbs 3oz when they were born.

I am getting a co-sleeper to put by the bed. It actually connects to the bed with straps and allows them to be next to you without being in bed with you. I have heard it works well for twins also. It converts into a changing table and pnp later.
