We couldn't get our kids to go to sleep in their cribs (usually had to rock or put in swings for them to fall alseep without crying) and then stay asleep even into the morning. We would take turns going into the nursery during the night to put their pacifier back in. I saw on the Today show this book,"sleepeasy solution". So I was desperate and didn't want to have them just "cry it out". It was a lifesaver. We have been using the book for a week now and they go to sleep in less than 10 min, no real crying, just some tired fussing and talking to each other. The first night was hard but the second night was better and by the 3rd night it was great. I didn't know if any of y'all had tried this approach but I highly recommend it!! If you are having problems with your babies going to sleep and staying asleep, buy this book. Oh it helped with their naps too. Life is just so much easier I wanted to tell all my twin mommie friends! Let me know if you have used this and if it worked as well for you.

Hmmm...sounds interesting. Can you give the highlights to those of us that can't manage to make it to the bookstore - let alone actually read a book? ;)

I know what you mean about not getting to read. The good thing is you really don't have to sit down and read. I read it while my DH got the kids dressed for bed. It has very short chapters that are pretty basic so you can skim....The basic concept is to have a strict bedtime rountine & time. Put them down in their cribs and you then will wait 5 min before going back in. You then go in but don't touch or even get close enough so they think you will pick them up and speak soothing words to them like goodnight sweethearts. I love you. Do this only for 30 seconds and then walk out. If they are still fussing, go back in 10 min later and do the same talking as before. Then it is every 15 min after that if they are still fussing.

The first night they were asleep in less than an hour. First night is the hardest. But while you are listening to them cry, they have amazing short encouragements in the book for you to read. It is what got me thru. It tells you how sleep really is a learning process and you are teaching them.

I have never let my babies cry..ever. I'm always there for them. The 2nd night I saw such progress and by the 3rd night they were alseep in 10min with no crying just tired fussing.

Oh you can watch the video if you go to the Today Show website and search for "sleepeasy solution". The video is what sold me!!
