My girlies dont sleep walk yet, they dont even walk!

but when i was younger, my older sister would sleep walk. once she unlocked the backdoor, walked all the way to the back of the backyard, and we found her in the morning sitting inbetween a gap that was in the fence.
it did scare mum because we lived a house away from the main highway.

sorry! that probably didnt make things any better.

My mom slept walked and talked. My little brother ditto. the worst was when he jumped on my bed in the middle of the night trying to rid me of the bugs [IMG] He was like in a trance.

Now Felicia sleep walks when stressed, over tired or has to go pee. But she sleep talks ALL the time. I sleep very lightly and have heard every time she has walked around the house. I did put up a baby gate (before the boys came) on the basement stairs (no door) in case she decided to go down there. Yikes! Its so weird seeing them in the trance!

Now I hear that boys are more apt to sleep walk/talk so I am scared to think of what my boys will get into [IMG] once they are out of their cribs [IMG]

We lived within 500 yards from the Mississippi River. My brother walked out of the house, and was within 10 feet from the railroad tracks running along the river, when my father saw this white apparition (my naked brother in his undies LOL) and ran to get him.

We just got used to listening for any sounds that weren't normal and eased him back to his bedroom.

As for your fears now, and missing the sounds. Hook eye locks are rather inexpensive. Have them locked on every outside door in your house. Have it your nightly routine. Put the kids to bed, lock the doors. I'd also check into some better, higher up, window locks. Especially if you've got a 2 story house.

I know there are those alarms that sound off when a door or window plane has been crossed, those might be good too.

    Good luck!
