So since my last post, DD has been sleeping better at night. I didn't have to change anything. YAY!!

But, I am still having troubles with the naps and have been considering doing a modified CIO for naps, I would check on them every couple of minutes. DS is a much better sleeper than DD, should I put them both down for naps and let them go for it, or should I get one trained then do the other?

    TIA

I did mine both at the same time, in the same room. It was a rough couple of days, but smooth sailing after that. :good: Good Luck!!

I'd do both at the same time, saves you the hassle of going through it twice and they learn to sleep through each others crying! Good Luck, it will be hard but so worth it in the end!

We are doing modified CIO right now for bedtime - checking in at intervals, gradually increasing the intervals. We are doing both at the same time, in the same room. Usually one goes to sleep at least 3-4 minutes before the other one and the one continues to cry. It doesn't seem to be a problem. We are down to them taking about 10-13 minutes to go to sleep on their own, so we are making slow but steady progress (it was about 30 minutes the first night - we are on night 4).

We plan to tackle going down for naps once we get the bedtime and night sleep under control. Naps aren't too much of an issue for us, other than them having to be held to go to sleep. Constant waking at night was a major issue, and that is SO much better already. Last night I didn't hear a peep out of either of them until 4:30am, which is a major improvement. I let him cry a bit, and he went back to sleep and stayed asleep until 6am (which is their normal wake up time - early risers = ugh!!)

I personally would do it at the same time as well. I never separated the boys for bedtime/naptime. I did around 16/17 months for Anthony because his 30 minute naps were driving me CRAZY and I wanted him to go to sleep and not wake his brother(he wasn't). So I took him out and put him in our room in a pnp-and it didn't work. So I just put him back upstairs in his room with his sleeping brother, and he eventually started sleeping longer.

And now at the age of three, they still don't wake each other up. Well, unless the sun is up and Anthony goes over to Nicholas and goes, "Nicholas! Get UP!"
