As some of you might know I have had an on-going battle to get my DS to sleep through the night. At 21 months I have now contacted a sleep trainer that will come out for a consultation on Thursday. Have anybody made use of a sleep trainer? What was your experience? (I hope that this the answer to our problem.)

We hired a gal when the girls were 3.5 months old (long story) but we were very happy with her. Her approach was pretty much an amalgamation of the different sleep training approaches out there (ie not anything we couldn't have technically figured out ourselves) but what was invaluable was having a point by point plan of attack & someone we could bounce concerns/questions off of, plus she was super encouraging & supportive. Well worth the money in the end.

Hi, we hired a sleep consultant when our twins still weren't STTN at one year. It was a tremendous help. I wish we had done it sooner.
Recently, we had another phone consultation with her when both of our twins moved out of the crib. They were staying up for hours, and we couldn't figure out how to keep them in bed to fall asleep. It made a huge difference for us. Sleep is a good thing!
