If your baby goes to sleep in the swing, do you leave them there? Do you go to bed? DD Gracey Loo is waking up around 2am and wanting to play, eat, then she will only go back to sleep in the swing or me holding her ( no sleep for me) if i leave her in the swing is that bad? I have been staying on the couch by the swing, I am exhausted! HELP

I'm a terrible example because my girls still love to nap in their swing and put up a huge fight if they have to be in their crib!!

Fortunately, they've never been in their swings for night time. I woudlnt' start it as it is a very bad habit to break!!

Both my boys love to nap in their swings... I don't leave them in there for more than about an hour or so 'cause their little legs and feet start getting cold, even with jumpers and socks.

Up until 3 months, I did. At that point, I transitioned them to crib sleeping. Do you think she is sleeping too much during the day? :hug99:

No she only sleeps like 30 minutes maybe 3 x's a day she is a cat napper. DD Sarah sleeps a lot more and she never wakes up during the night. I think this maybe a growth spurt she seems hungry ALL the time. She is very energetic when she is awake, you would think she would be worn out but noooo... right now she is in her exersaucer, watching Hannah Montana (they like the music) so I am off to eat my Cheerios from this morning

My guys would fall asleep in the swing and then after they were asleep I would move them to their cribs. I would let the swing stop naturally and wait a few min. and then move them into their cribs (till about 9 mos!!!) then they would wake briefly and cry or fuss for up to 10 min. and pass out again....worked great for us, but all babes are different!

Ds slept and napped in his swing until 7 months, but he slept and napped great in it, I wouldn;t trade that for anything!!!!!! He now sleeps/naps great in his crib, so I would not have antything different (but we did use sleep training at 11 months).
