What kinds of naps do your babies take? How many and how long? Mine nap for 1 1/2 hours in the morning and another 45 min in the afternoon if I'm lucky. They are 3 months old and it seems like everyone elses kids are sleeping much more. Although the are generally happy and they do sleep well at night.

At 5 months, my guys are finally on somewhat of a nap schedule. They nap for a bit over an hour in the morning, and 1 1/2- 2 hours in the afternoon. Then they sometimes take a 1/2 hour catnap right before dinner (nice for mommy to get dinner together)! At 3 months, their naps weren't as consistent, but their night time sleeping has gone down hill since then too!

My girls do the eat, play, sleep routine. They are never awake for more than 2 hours usually during the day or they get super fussy. Most times it is 1.5 hours. There are times they will stay up until the next feeding, but not usually. Their naps can be 1/2 hour or it can be until the next feeding. I can't wait until they have scheduled naps. The good thing is that they sleep through the night and have for a while now. They eat around 9ish and sleep until sometime between 5-7am. Not too bad. We had a few nights last week that they woke up at 3am and 4am, but we are back on track now.

At that age, mine were tired after 90 min awake max, sometimes less. So they'd nap 4-5x/day.

Mine sleep 2.5-3 hours in the morning; 1.5 hours in the early afternoon, and 45 minutes in the evening. And they sleep for 12 hours at night.

At 3 months they took about 4 naps that were 1.5 hours and a shorter nap in the evening. I dont know if that is the norm but mine really like sleep - praise the Lord!

Mine follow eat/sleep/play and can only stay up around 1.5 hours...so they are taking about 3 full naps--1.5-2 hours, and sometimes a short catnap in the evening. Today was off the norm--1.5 hour in the morning, then 2.5 hours, and then 1/2 hour and they were FUSSY until bedtime...we took them for a walk and that helped.

I'm realizing how different all babies are--some need a lot less sleep and others more. Ours sleep about 12 hours at night too...

Ditto pp - mine could only stay awake about 60min at a time at that age (if they even made it to 60min). so they were up and down for naps all day - sometimes it would work out to 4 naps/day (if the naps were longer), or sometimes it would be like 6 naps/day if they were shorter. It was never a schedule tho, so I never knew what time they would actually nap and for how long. The schedule started to emerge around 4.5-5mnths, starting with the morning nap and then at around 6.5mnths was when the other naps started to have a more schedule time.
hang in there, it will get better!

Same. Sometimes they'd only be awake 60 minutes and the need a 'nap.' We followed eat-sleep-play.
