I have had two zippers break on my Sleep Sacks! This really makes me mad because the darn things are 20 bucks a piece! T

I have a couple Gerber ones and was going to get more of those cuz they are cheaper, but I can't find them beyond the 0-6 month size.

The girls need Mediums and I hate to buy more of the Halos because of the zipper issue. Anyone have any suggestions??

Whoops - I hit Thanks instead of Reply - so nevermind the cryptic Thanks!! Anyways, check out Target.com. They have different brands - I think ours our Prince Lionheart (or something like that), and we've had no problems!

    Good Luck!

I was hoping to get sleep sacks for winter as well but we now use blanket sleepers. They are basically a fleecy-like sleeper with arms and legs. First we put on a onesie, then a regular sleeper, and then the blanket sleeper and my babies are warm and toasty! And, you may find that over the winter as your babies start sitting, crawling, and standing they may want their legs 'free' to move. Oh, and they come with zippers or snaps, depending on what you find.

    Hope you find this helpful!

I had a zipper break on the Halo sleep sack as well, the second time I used it. I took it back to BRU and they exchanged it for me, which was nice as I didn't have a receipt, but they looked up my baby registry and saw it on there. For DS we have been using the kiddopotamus swaddlers and just leaving his arms free and it seems to work pretty well, we started with one arm and now both arms are free and he sleeps so much better.

We use a brand from Target--Circo I think--and they work great. They've been very durable and my boys seem to have plenty of room to grow into them.

I used Carter's brand. They were good for 0-9.

FWIW, I had a zipper break on a Halo one too (though I did buy it used). But since the girls were born, we've had a total of about 8 Halo sleep sacks in different sizes, and that's the only broken zipper.

I find the zippers to be of poor quality on the Halo sacs as well. Ours are still working, but they come apart a lot (started after we'd used them for only 2 weeks). I wouldn't buy Halos again. I LOVE Gro Bags but they're so pricey! I found a great website that offers buy-one-get-one-free on Gro Bags for twins: http://www.momandbabyworks.com/index.php/c...frmContentId/26. I am using two bags I ordered from them right now and they're great. Good quality, comfy and warm but not too warm.
