Does anyone use the sleep sacks once their LO's can roll over in the crib?
My boys are only rolling from tummy to back during tummy time but it has got me thinking about once they can roll over from back to tummy and if it could pose a risk or be unsafe if they are in their sleep sacks.

I never used sleep sacks, but I wouldn't think there would be any risk to using them once they can roll over. Their legs might get a bit tangled up & it might be uncomfortable, but not unsafe in any way I could see.

we have used sleepsacks since they gave up the swaddle and have never had a problem with them rolling over in them. in fact they are great when they start rolling over because they stay warm and can't roll away from the blanket. it never seemed unsafe to me.

We had some that my girls wore until they could walk. Just as long as it't the right size (plenty big enough) they can roll over, sit up, pull to standing, and even take a couple of steps in them.

    Ditto the other posts.
We've got squirmy sleepers and have been using sleepsacks... no probolems! They can roll and flop and squirm and sit and crawl... and they are still nice and snuggly warm!

We've used sleepsacks since they gave up the swaddle. We still use them from time to time.

We used sleep sacks until they were almost 3.5. Not only could they roll over, they could walk and run.

We also use them and just like everyone else they can roll walk move all over the place while in the crib. I also like them because it will make it harder for them to try to climb out of the crib.

Hi, we are still using sleep sacks with our 11 month old twin girls. I feel more secure with the sleep sack than with loose bedding. They can roll over, sit up and pull up onto their knees in bed, but fortunately they haven't actually tried climbing out of bed yet!

No problems here either. Amber is such an active sleeper, she has never struggled to make her way from one end of her cotbed to the other and she stays snug as bug.

We started with the sleep sacks when they could roll over, so that they couldn't roll over at night. We even strap the sleep sacks in the crib, so the girls have to stay on their back(they can roll a bit to each side, but can't get on their tummy, and when they get older they will be able to sit up as well). The straps are safe, so they can't get strangled. This because 1. when they started roll over to their tummy they screamed all night because they couldn't roll back and got tired, and 2. tummysleeping increases risk of SIDS a lot! The twins are nearly 11months now. Our oldest girl slept in her sleeping sack until she managed to open the zipper, around 1,5-2 years I think.

We still use sleep sacks during the cooler months for our two year old girls. Several brands even make a sleep sack with feet openings so kids can walk and run in them.

Ditto most of the pp's. Mine have/had no trouble rolling, sitting, standing and even walking a little in their sleep sacks. Alyssa and Bryony wore theirs until they transistioned to beds at about 2 1/4. Eleanor is still very happy in hers, and Ethan just started rolling over in his in the past couple of weeks.
