I am hoping someone here can help me or else I just need to vent. My 4 month old twins were sleeping soo well during the night. They would go to sleep around 9:00 and wake a few times for the pacifieer but, didn't eat till 6 A.M. Well now everything changed. They are constantly waking up and giving the pacifier doesn't help. They wake each other and we are not getting any sleep. We are soo tired. They are still eating a nice amount during the day and don't seem sick. Help!! How can I get them to sleep through the night again?

I remember going through something like that too at that age. They were doing so great and I thought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel then BAM!!!

I hope it is just a stage for you too. I think ours started doing better after 2-3 weeks.

Mine haven't even begun to really sleep through..I am up at 1 am, 3:30am-4:40 trying to put pacis back in...then, they are up for the day at 5:45am. So, I can relate. Hang in there!

When my dd was 4months old she did the same thing. Things were great before that and then we got a rude awakening! Luckily it was only a phase that lasted about 2-3 weeks. Then things went back to normal. HOpe that it's the same for you....actually, hope it's even shorter! [IMG]

Ours are almost 4 months and our dd was doing pretty well for a while, sleeping 5-7 hours straight. She and our ds have regressed some, which has been challenging for us. Thankfully, last night she did a 5 hour stretch which was great. I know for many that's not much at all, but for us it was a gift! [IMG] I hope they soon return to better sleeping habits.

    Growth spurt?

It could be anything... babies wake up for so many different reasons... I hope you find what it is, that way the sleep solution can be found.

Hang in there! It seemed like everytime mine began sleeping through something would disturb it, like a their gums hurting, a growth spurt... new milestones...

We seperated them into 2 different rooms as suggested my a TS member and we are now getting more sleep than ever before. They still wake up once or twice but it used to be every two hours each so right now its wonderful.

I was told by my pedi that 4 mo babies aren't ready to sleep through the night yet. They should still eat twice, but go back to sleep. I know that's discouraging, but maybe they're just not ready yet. We would do our last feed at 8 and 8:30. Then I would wake them up every five hours until morning (so 1 and 1:30, 6 and 6:30). When they woke up at 8ish in the morning they were calm and ready to play (as opposed to crazy from hunger), having just eaten 2 hrs ago. It seemed to work for us.
