Until what age did you find them usefull?

If my twins are three months already, does it pay to buy them now?

our boys recently began sleeping in their cribs and we use them everynight and for naps. I have my boys sleep o their side and every night we switch what side they lay on. We do this because one of my sons has torticollis and had a slight mishape of his head. we have already seen improvment. Anyways, i personally dont think it is too late to get them

I wouldn't. They don't need them unless their head is mishapen.

My SIL and I put nephew on his side for naps (where we can see him) and he's on his back to sleep at night. This is giving him enough variation.

They will be rolling soon and then they are useless. You really don't want them to roll into one of the rolly things that is used for positioning and get their face caught in there.

This is just my opinion. If you decide you want them, that's totally cool and you can get them at Target.

We used them up until about 4 months. We used the First Years ones.

I really did not like mine and the babies didn't either!? The best thing I have done was to just roll up a burp cloth and put in against their backs if I wanted them on their side. I personally think since they are 3 months - it is not worth the money.

Thanks all for your sdvice...I have decided not to get them. I was contemplating it only because I thought it would make the transition from sleeping in carseats to sleeping in cribs easier because it would make them feel more cozy and therefore sleep better. Any other ideas in that area?

    Thanks!

You can roll up a big, but not fluffy, blanket long ways, and make a U shape -- and put your baby in the "U" with his.her head at the top -- that way there is a bumper around them and that makes them feel safer in the crib. I did that when I was transitioning my babies from napping in their swings to napping in their cribs at 3 months old. It helped.

    Good luck,

I received two of them at my shower and I never even used them.

HMmm, I use mine and really like them. Mine are still little and don't move much on their own anyway, but I guess it gives me peace of mind. I have two different brands, and they work together adn were cheap. I hadn't planned on putting them in the same bed (they're in a P-n-P for now), but I feel better knowing they're seperated enough so one doesn't suffocate the other somehow.

I would worry that two rec'ing blankets rolled would unroll and be loose in the bed, posing a hazard. ....

I thought the sleep positioners were great. They helped mine feel nice and cozy. I also have my dd in one still because if she rolls onto her tummy she gets quite frustrated. This keeps her secure. I took ds out when he rolled onto his tummy in the positioner. I personally would buy them.

I just removed the sleep positioner from DS's crib. He was wiggling down to the very bottom of it so I figured he's done using it. Now he doesn't move around at all when he sleeps, so the positioner must have been uncomfortable for him. DD still uses hers, I'll probably leave her in it until she starts rolling out of it.

We liked them too....One of my girls had a bad startle reflex and the positioner kept her more secure. We don't use them anymore, but I thought it was worth it.
