Who needs it right? That is what I am beginning to think. Atleast none of my kiddos seem to think I need it. I feel like I am falling apart at the seams. I have been sick for over a week, and haven't taken anything b/c I am bf. Every morning I wake up feeling like I have a hangover. I know I am not pg b/c I have no energy for sex. But, I have not slept more than 3-4 hours a night in over a year. Being sick on top of it I just feel exhausted. There really is not any way for me to get a break except dh has let me sleep a little on the weekend last week. I am not really looking for a solution I just knew all you twin moms would understand!

It is something that no one tells you about before you have kids...or, if they did try to tell us...we somehow couldn't believe it is this freaking hard!

You are not alone. I am up with you all night, too.

I am on the Kona high! You know, take some Hawaiian Kona, mix it with water and add some aspertame! Keeps you going for a couple of days anyway!

Our babies sleep great, just never at the same time. If they do sleep at the same time it is during the day when I have to be awake for our other kids!

I know how you feel, James stays up until 10ish, Sean wakes at 6ish, but we have 3 night feedings still. For some crazy reason I got 5 consecutive hours of sleep last night, I feel like a new person, lol!

The lactation consultants told me that I could take meds with pseudoephedrine when I had a cold and was bf! It just might make the babes hyper.... It didn't for mine. And it helped Liams little cold at the same time! Oh and [IMG] [IMG] It will change!!!

I'm not b/f and I'm loving energy drinks. I was using Red Bull but today I discovered 'Rock Star' it tastes just as nasty as a Red Bull but it's twice as big for the same price [IMG] and keeps me going for a few hours.
They should market an energy drink called "Mother of Twins' we're the ones who are really partying all night! It's easy to stay awake when you're drinking and dancing, all the wannabe rock stars should try staying up all night cleaning poop and warming up 'baa-baas'. [IMG]

I'm still up with you too. I didn't sleep during my pg or after so I figure it's been 18 months with no sleep. How does that happen? Not pumping anymore so 24 oz Diet Pepsi's are my best friends. We'll sleep someday.

i'm up with you too - between them my little ones were up 9 times last night [IMG]. i so miss sleeping. and i've found that anything i take to help me feel more alert (ie tea / coffee / chocolate) also stimulates them and so they wake even more at night ... [IMG]

years ago (when i had lovely 8 hour solid night times) i read somewhere that sleep deprivation plays havoc with your immune system. now i know it's true. i have gone from someone who literally was never ill bar the occasional cold, to having 3 strep throats, 2 tummy bugs, 1 vomiting virus and several colds since the girls were born.

even without the girls sleeping better though, i do feel significantly better and less tired once i've overcome whichever bug i'm fighting. i do so hope the same happens for you. [IMG]

this too will end. we will sleep through again. really ...

I was one who never fell asleep on a bus, plane, car, etc., nor did I ever sleep while sitting up and/or doing something. Now? I could fall asleep on the phone if the person on the other line drones on for too long...so embarrassing. Oh, and I never drank coffee. Never gave it a thought. Now? OMG! I couldn't live without it. (Should I be telling that to a bf'g woman? Just know that I give you huge props for continuing giving your babies the best!)

I'm up with ya' too girlfriend! [IMG]

And has everyone else's arguments with their husbands turned NASTIER now that we are sleep deprived? I am a total bee-yatch to him! But I am sooooooo tired and not myself.

LOL!!!! TOTALLY OVERRATED, yeah right, we know we want it [IMG]

Mine still wake ALOT too, so if I get (seriously) more than 2hrs of sleep in a row I count myself lucky.

[IMG] It does get better! Funny story though..(although right now, you may not see the humor [IMG]) When my girls finally did start sleeping through the night..I couldn't sleep! I just knew the minute I would drift off, one would wake and scream. My body was so in that mode it took a real long time for me to be able to really sleep at night.

    Hang in there!
