We recently switched to one nap a day, and so far it's been going pretty well. Before we made the switch the girls were going to bed around 7, sleeping until 7, and napping once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The naps were about 2.5 hours total. Now they are sleeping from 7 at night to 8 in the morning, and napping once in the afternoon for about 1.5 - 2 hours. Does 13 hours seem like a lot of sleep at night? It seems like a lot to me, and I'm just wondering if other kids their age sleep this much!

According to this 1-3 year olds need 12-14 hours of sleep.

Our schedule is bed at 8 and wake up at around 8:30/8:45. Then they nap for about 2 hrs in the afternoon. It has been this way since we switched to one nap. I think your kids are getting a normal amount of sleep.

It sounds gggrrreat to me! :D

Mine nap about 12:30-2:30 and sleep about 7-6 at night -- 13 hours total. Yours are doing 14.5-15 hours, which is even better!

    Nope that is just right.

Sounds like an awesome sleep schedule. Mine go down at 9 and sleep until 9.

Sounds good to me. Glad the one nap a day is going well, I'm looking forward to mine going down to one nap so we can get out of the house more. :)

We recently had to change day care so they are now only taking one nap a day - 11:30 to 2:00. We are trying to get them on the same schedule on the weekend, but we are having a rough time. We can't seem to keep them awake long enough to have lunch and then a nap. The one day we did, they only slept about an hour and then were terrible all afternoon because they didn't have enough sleep. They usually go to bed between 6:30 and 7:00. During the week, we get them up at 6:30 to get ready for work and day care. They usually sleep closer to 7:00am on the weekends.

I think that that sounds perfectly normal! :)
