Sleep Crying?

Its so sad and getting worse. I asked the doctor and he said its most likely gas! But the gas drops arent helping. She is the most sweet docile baby when she is awake but when sleeping she has meltdowns, horrible crying. Its awful! Anyone have any experience with this? Any remedies? Thanks so much!!

 

Jake used to do this, and I think it was a combination of gas, reflux, and just normal newborn restlessness. The swing seemed to help him.

Seems like right around that "magical" 3 month mark it got better.

 

Aiden used to do the same thing - it started at exactly 2 weeks of age - and then stopped suddenly at about 11 weeks. Hang in there - I know it's heartbreaking!

 

sorry can't help, just want to say it sounds awful. One reccomendation: do you swaddle? I found this really helped w/ a lot of their nighttime issues.

 

My Lily does this...I call it "sleep screaming". She is 8 weeks now and it has gotten progressively better. It is usually gas or her trying to have a bowel movement which seems to be extremely troublesome for her....

It makes it hard to tell when she is waking or sleeping but I do notice her eyes are shut when she does her "sleep screams". She completely wakes her brother up everytime so now I have gotten in the terrible habit of running over and grabbing her immediately.
