I'm thinking to get skuut for the girls , but not sure if i should get 1 or 2. They know how to take turn smoothly with stuff 70% of the time (we set timer etc... )

Did you get one for each of yours or 1 is manageable ?

    Thanks much for the feedbacks!

My kids have the Strider Balance Bikes - that's what Santa brought them this year :). Each of them has their own. I don't know your kids personality but NO WAY NO HOW my kids woildn't be good at sharing a bike. We have 2 of each things like that and they still fight because they want the same one... Were your kids OK to share a push car or something similar when they were younger? If they can handle sharing, you can try to get one first and see how they do, and then if you realize you need a second one, you can get it later. Ours are both the same color to avoid fights. How old are your kids? Mine are 2 and almost 5 months and they are good at walking with these, they even run and they are taking their feet off the ground a bit, but they still didn't get the concept of balance. The reality is that being winter, we didn't get too many chances to take them out with them, so they use them inside more for now, but they seem to like them.

we dont have skuuts. We have tricycles. I think 1 is OK. They will learn to take turns. But its not even half fun of having 2. Id just get 2. My kids love to race. And it is lot of fun and exercise.

    Have fun!

Ours are 2 and 7 months.

We still have our shares of fighting over toys. Your advices are great confirmation for me to get 2nd skuut or strider for them (we got 1 skuut from friend and waiting for the good weather ... ) Thanks much!

If you already have a Skuut from a friend, I think it's better to get a second Skuut - that's the SAME color, this way you avoid useless fights, if both end up liking the same one more than the other - at least that's what I would do. Also, just like w101ttd said, mine love racing each other on the bikes, plus if they see the other one going faster, they are trying to go faster also, so they challenge each other on these, that's why I think it's better to have 2 of them.

About 2.5-3yo we had to separate stuff b/c they wanted ownership of certain things. They knew shapes and letters so we put a shape and their first initial on their stuff. They love it and don't get mad about using their stuff.

I agree, depending on their personalities the same model and colour may not be necessary: We also put their first initial on some things and our LOs have signature colours for many things, so we have a red and a blue balance bike for example, different models too because they were both bought used and we took what we could get. It has never been a problem for us and it is very cute when they ask their twin for permission to ride the other bike.

I wish my kids were as nice about each other's stuff. It's mostly Vanessa - she HAS TO HAVE everything Max has if it's different than hers. Your stories give me hope that in time she will be more aware of personal stuff and that her brother is allowed to have something that belongs to him. We noticed that if we get them identical toys there aren't as many fights over stuff.

This awareness for personal property and sharing came around their 3rd birthday, a little earlier for some things like a favourite teddy. Mine are about a year older than yours, so maybe you only have a few more months to go. I have also been quite strict about not taking stuff away and fighting over it (taking turns with a timer, and time out for the toy if that does not work), and only let them settle their disputes themselves once they had learnt the basic rules.

It's much tougher with two of the same sex not to buy two of everything, unless you make their pick their own things. I don't have any issue with my kids, they'll even play each other's mobigo occasionally (the only thing with bikes and now scooters that we got two of).

Almost everything we've gotten for the girls have been a pink and a purple one. Sydney purple and Sabrina pink. They had coordinating blankets and outfits at birth and just know which one belongs to which girl. It's helped with some arguments because its just automatic. Sometimes they'll choose to switch for awhile, but everyone knows which color is for which girl.
