My son currently has the First Years True Fit car seat. My girls have the Graco Nautilus 3 n 1. The Nautilus is pretty skinny, but the tru fit is wide and HEAVY, and hard to install if I have to move it anytime.

I'm looking for a replacement for my sons. He still sleeps a lot in his car seat when we go on trips (He'll be 3 this summer) so I want something that reclines a little better than the Nautilus, but is still fairly skinny since there are 3 of them. And probably the most important is ease of installation. I don't mind the re-threading of the harness as you don't do it that often.... Recline, width and ease of installation are the most important features right now. Can anyone help me out?? LOL

Sunshine Radian is very narrow, I don't know about the recline. Easy to install. They have one up to 65lb and one to 80lb.

I did a TON of measuring and researching on this subject when we started ttc #3. We had a GMC Jimmy with no 3rd row seating and I needed a skinny carseat for my older dd that still left room for an infant seat in the middle.

The sunshine radian was the skinniest seat, but I don't think it has much of a recline on it. The britax marathon was the next skinniest seat I found that had good weight/height limits on it, good recline, easy to install but it's HUGE otherwise. The base is really skinny but the seat part itself is fairly wide. The graco nautilus I think was the third one if I remember right. There may have been one more in there but I think it had really low height/weight limits on it.

My twins fall asleep in the nautilus's all the time and are still pretty comfy. You can roll up a towel really tight, or use a pool noodle, behind the base of the nautilus so it kicks the bottom out a little bit from the seat, to give it a little more recline.

Honestly I don't think you'll find a better seat than the Nautilus at this point!
