Found out from an early scan at 7+4 weeks that expecting twins however scan showed babies to have a week size difference. Was rescaned at 9+4 to check growth and although both babies have grown there remains a week size difference. Is this a problem at this early stage? My consultant says will rescan in 2 weeks but is a matter of seeing if continues to develop or that it becomes reabsorbed!!!! Sonographer says if all stays well til 20 weeks then this scan will tell me if there are any abnomalities with the baby. V worried. Has anyone had this detected this early and all been well?

Through my whole pregnacey they were about 5 days difference when they were born the weighed in at 6.10lbs and 6.5 lbs. Good luck they are fraternal so very different little ones they are.

I agree with the previous posters. My babies have measured from a couple of days to a week apart during various points in my pregnancy too. It fluctuates. Try not to worry and just know that you probably have fraternals who are different sizes.
There is also the possibility that you ovulated twice a week apart and got very lucky that both implanted too. Either way, a week isn't going to be a huge difference. Hang in there!
    Congratulations!

Welcome! We too had our first scan at 7 weeks, but only had one heartbeat (we were told that they would check again to make sure that the other sac reabsorbed back into my system). At 9 weeks, they both had heartbeats, but were a week apart as well. Since they both had heartbeats, my doc was not as concerned, but definitely wanted to watch them closely. I had an u/s every other week to monitor, and slowly that one week gap increased throughout the pregnancy. BUT, they were perfectly healthy! By the end of the pregnancy they were measuring three weeks apart.

Turns out, I had a boy and a girl. My son is the stereotypical big boy (think, "inebacker") and my daughter is the stereotypical petite girl. They were born 1 1/2 pounds apart, and by one year they were 10 pounds apart. I share this because, even at 7 weeks inutero, there was size difference. It ddn't mean anything was wrong, it just meant that they were two totally different babies with two totally different sets of genes.

I am hoping the same in your case. Hang in there. This is the beginning of a long journey!
