Size and Gender?

I had a quick U/S scan today, and she said it looks like the twins are both the same size. I was wondering if that ups my chances of them being the same gender? (I'm 17 weeks). You'd think a girl would be smaller than a boy? Probably not, but I thought I'd ask anyway. LOL!

She also said the membrane was very thin...I wonder what my chances are for identicals?

 

my peri told me that i had a super thin membrane and only one placenta, so chances are that my girls are ID (although i dont think so)

I also have two placentas, but the membrane is very thin. I wish there was a way to know for sure other than if they're boy/girl twins. I'd like to know what my chances are for having identical twins with 2 placentas and a thin membrane.

 

Mine always measured 1 oz apart on 6 out of 7 u/s. They were born 1 oz apart and my girl was one oz heavier. At 12 months my boy was heavier, but I put them on a scale the other day and they were the same again.

And they're different sex ... boy, girl but still very similar.

 

Thanks, I figured they could most likely be different sexes, but they sure look a lot alike in there, lol! I have a pic of them side by side and they look sooo much alike, it's really neat.

I can't wait to find out if they are fraternal or identical.
