My son Jack is consistently going through his diaper, pj's, etc... This morning he woke at 2:30, DH fed him a 4 oz. bottle and changed his diaper. He then slept until 8:30 (wow!) and when he woke up he was laying in a pool of urine. I had to change sheets etc...

We have tried the pampers baby dry and I am going to try regular LUVS tonight because they claim to be leak proof.

    What works for you?

Oh yes! Gotta love the fact that you have to wash everything when they wake up and have peed all over! We have tried all the diapers, etc and what has worked best for us has been going up a size overnight! We still use Pampers Swaddlers/Cruisers.

I would go up a size at night, that solves our morning pee puddle problems.

The only size 1's Thomas does not pee through are the Kirkland brand from Costco. They are super thick and absorbent. We had some Pampers and Huggies people gave us and I can only use them during the day. :)

When mine pee'd thru I always went up a size. Katie is in 1's already and drinking 3 ounces every 2.5-3 Hr's and so far she hasn't pee'd thru yet.

They also have something at the grocery store called Diaper Doublers. My son sleeps from 6 pm- 7:30 am, and this is the only thing that helps us. They are in the diaper section! HTH

When they were little I had good luck with the Kirkland brand also. One size larger though than they usually used.

that is so funny, because i am just the opposite! we use the generic BJ"s brand during the day, but huggies at night. that worked for us! maybe BJ's isn't as good as costco!
i'm sure you already do it, but one thing to really make sure of is that you point his penis downward in the diaper before doing the tabs. my MIL ALWAYS forgets to do this, and he inevitably pees all over the place, leaks like crazy. (and drives ME crazy!!! oh well... the babysitting is free.....)

I had the same problem. I didn't go up a size but I did start using Pampers at night. We use Huggies during the day. No, I don't use name brands because I can afford them. We were just really blessed with lots of baby showers and generous coworkers. My boys are 3 months old and we have not purchased one single diaper/wipe/lotion, etc. Another thing that really helped was to pull the front of the diaper up way past his belly button (higher in front than back basically). It looks funny and seems like it's not going to stay closed, but...oops, I forgot to mention mine are belly sleepers. Anyway, having that extra diaperage up higher prevents the leaking for them. HTH.

What we tried recently that really works is I ordered some Huggies overnights from diapers.com - the catch is the smallest size they carry is 3 (maybe they just don't make them smaller in the overnights). Anyway, they fit better than I expected as our babies are pretty good sized (last Monday at 11 weeks Ava was 15.5 lbs and Max was 14.4 lbs) and what a huge difference it has made. They were both soaking thru their Pampers swaddlers every night--but not anymore. I use these now only during the day, and the Huggies at night...

Mine did that at that age and are now "in between" sizes. It sucks. They are too small to go up a size(I've tried and it make a horrible mess out of the bottom of the diaper) even at night so we use generic Target or Whitecloud during the day and Pampers baby dry at night. Also make sure their penis is pointed down...it helps some with the wetness...particularly if you have a tummy sleeper.

I HATED the Luvs...they leaked really bad at night so we just finished using those up during the day only!

eta: I'm waiting about another 2 weeks and then I'm going to try the Huggies overnights because the smallest size is a size 3 (16-? lbs).
