Has anyone ever used Sitter City to find a reputable babysitter? Or do you have experience using another company like them?

I noticed Sitter City being advertised on TV so was curious to hear any comments you might have about it or others like it.

    Thanks!

I used Care.com and had a great experience with it! Be sure you get emails and phone numbers of your candidates so that you can cancel your subscription once you find who you will use. Care.com keeps your inbox after you've cancelled, but you have to re-up the dues to access the info in the messages.

    Good luck!

    Thanks for responding!

When you decided on Care.com had you researched other places first and if so...what did you like better about Care.com that you made that your choice?

Actually...after I posted that question...I googled and found the answer...I thought I'd post a link in case anyone else is interested in the differences between Sitter City and Care.com

If this is not allowed I'll understand it being deleted.

We used Sitter City to find our nanny. I was really happy with it. We actually used it twice because our first nanny got pregnant and was planning to leave the job. There are a certain number of people on there that seem to reply to almost any job - even if they aren't available at the times you may need, so you will need to weed through them, but both times we posted our nanny job we got many replies and several really good candidates to choose from.

We have used Sitter City twice and have been extremely successful. Obviously you still need to get references and check them. We have a sitter come in 3 -4 times a week for 9 hours a day. Do lots of interviews and check references.
