One LO has been consistently using his sippy for milk, juice and water. he uses it first thing for their am milk and of course, throughout the day. i still do however, use a bottle at bedtime.
my OTHER LO *just* started using his sippy for his morning milk. he generally threw it across the room, cried and carried on until he got his bottle. LOL. i figured i'd give him a week or so until his PM bottle turned into a sippy.

should i be just using sippies at nighttime or do i use the bottle. i am not sure if it matters. :)

The night time bottle was the last to go for us. I was still nursing one boy after 12 months, so I would nurse him while DH would give the other a bottle. At about 13 months we gave up the bottle and went to bedtime sippies. My ped was pretty emphatic about getting off of bottles ASAP; I didn't feel like my guys were terribly attached to the bottles (they were using sippies just fine) so I ditched the bottles just to shut him up.

I think you're on the right track with letting your one LO become a little more familiar with the sippy before getting rid of the bottle entirely. :good:

our pedi wanted to make sure bottles were gone by the 15 month well-visit... sounds like you're doing great.

Our nighttime bottle was the last too, we started the bottle/sippy transition at 12 months and went off the nighttime bottle at about 13.5 -14 months or so.

You guys are lucky, my ped wanted bottles gone by 12months. We happily let them go at 9 1/2 months. I can tell you I don't miss the bottles and liners...
