If you have destructo twins who do not like hard lipped sippy cups and can squeeze out and deconstruct a nubby in less time than it takes to empty an entire cup of milk inside your sofa then you will love the cheap, disposable cups. They don't match, which is a pet peeve of mine but they can't be taken apart from the outside in and they can't be squeezed onto or into anything... plus its not terribly hard on the teeth! Just sharing my knowledge!

Which cheap disposables are you talking about? We have some of the disposables for traveling, but the lids come off and they can be shaken to remove contents....

My thoughts exactly, Diane, but perhaps this is age related. I know my guys couldn't do anywhere near the damage at 15 months that they can do at 28. I don't like our take & toss cups because they pry the lids off with their teeth and the cheap plastic bends permanently so one good teeth pry renders the lid useless.

You ladies just killed my joy for the morning... and Nevan did pry it off with his teeth in the car. I'm on the hunt for new cups!

we have just started using these..

    gerber sippies

My girls have a tough time with cups that are really hard to sip, they loved teh Avent ones but they are just too leaky for me to handle. These ones are working out great, they don't leak at all and there is no way to take apart unless they unscrew the lid... Got them at target..

I just got the catalog of One Step Ahead. I really like some of their items. Anyway, I was at a play group the other day and saw this sippy cup by Dr. Brown. It a new product out of the catalog -- because sippy cups still reqire hard suction, which doesn't teach babies how to drink from real cups! This cup has an innovative value that lets liquid flow through, so baby learns to sip, not suckle. Reduces gas, too. Spill-proof, with removable handles. 10 oz/dishwasher safe #13152 Natural Flow Training cup $6.95 Go to their site www.onestepahead.com

Honestly, I have so many different sippy cups with different brand. Because I did not know which one work for us. They were using those take and toss (Nuby) since 10 mos. I have stop giving them those because they were prying the lids off too. So, I switch them to those gerber sippys. I have been trying to teach them to use the straw no-spill lid on and off.

Mine like the ones frmo The FIrst Years - not the take and toss ones - no valves, which is nice for me.

Thanks for sharing these. I just got them at Babies R Us in the Disney Princess variety (they were out of Elmo) and I have to say I'm loving the no-valve thing. I feel like I'll actually be able to clean them well and get in all the little groves. Does anyone else feel like some types of sippies are so hard to clean?

Someone on here had suggested and used these sippies. I've ordered them and got them recently and I love them. The girls like them too and they don't leak. They haven't attempted to disassemble them yet though, maybe we just haven't gotten to that phase yet.?
