SO,Im 16w,5d preg now and I am really starting to feel it, over the past few weeks I could tell I was preg from the way my joints and hips and back felt. My job is strenuous at times and I had to take it easy a bit. So thats feeling better but NOW im noticing my stomach gets hard sometimes. I remember this happening with the twins, i thought they were braxton hicks in the beginning and half way through the doc said that they were actual contractions and thats why they put me off work. So I am showing now, I find it confusing the way the belly grows because you think because your uterus is lower down in the beginning you would grow lower first... but I seem to be bigger around the belly button and up, and above my belly button is where it feels harder and when I get stressed or walk up hills I really feel my tummy tighten especially up top.. So its weird. I also feel like even though Im only 16 weeks, I feel further along lol so it scares me that yea maybe I am only 16 weeks but maybe there are two in there and the ultrasound just missed one.. Im paranoid !! Anyway hows your pregnancy's going and how are you feeling this time around as opposed to with the twins??

I've had two post-twins singleton pregnancies. I was definitely showing by 16 weeks and BH are quite common with me. They started around 16 weeks with Becca and were consistent in the 3rd trimester (every day for several hours). Both my singletons went overdue. With subsequent pregnancies, your body seems to "know what to do". My midwife always said the uterus just "knows what to do" so it gets bigger a bit faster and your muscles, obviously, just aren't the same so you may feel things in different places. Honestly, my pregnancies were relatively easy post-twins.

I am sort of the opposite in that my 2pregnancies after the boys were twins. However we lost the first set and one of this current set. Taking that into consideration, this has been a "single" pregnancy since about 14 wks. I did feel bigger though and I have had more BH than I did did with my other singletons. Basically it's like Alison said, my body is just doing what it has done before, getting ready...It could happen any time now

I'm 30 weeks and definitely have my on/off days as far as feeling good. I feel like I'm complaining a lof more this time around ... okay, really not so funny, poor DH. I think, for me, it's a good thing that I had the twins first. I've been having BH for a few weeks now and they've definitely come earlier this time than w/ the twins. And they are more intense. I don't remember having to shift my position to help ease the uncomfortableness when I had them w/ my first pg. I was also showing by 16 weeks this time and also had the "top" belly. By 20 wks or so I was starting to fill out more. I'm just ready. I have about 9 weeks until my scheduled c/s so I'm in the home stretch and enjoying it!! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! Are you going to find out the sex?????

NOpe not going to find out the sex, we did with the twins because they were my first and I wanted to see what they looked like all squished in there, it made it easier to get prepared, but this time because I have everything I need, its only one, and if its a girl then Ill go buy a few pink things but she can just use the boys stuff lol girls can wear blue too haha I am looking forward to a surprise but im scared the doc is going to blurt it out or something during an ultrasound but I doubt he will its kind of illegal here but theres a new obgyn that apperetnly will tell you anyway...
