I haven't yet. To be honest it's hard enough to pin them down to trim them occasionally. They are way too wiggly! Not only that, but Lily's nails especially are so tiny, I'd end up painting her toe instead.

I'm not too eager to try just yet!

    Good luck though!

Kayla loves to have her nails painted. We decided on toes because she sometimes puts her thumb in her mouth. I can't remember the first time I did them. I know a mom who painted her 4 month old's nails for her doc appointment, Kayla wasn't that young.

They got nail polish in their loot bags when they went to a birthday party when they were about 2 and 1/2. They had always noticed painted toenails especially "Nana's" when she wore sandals in the summer (usually blue or purple). So I painted them and they were thrilled. Their toenails were pretty tiny, I don't know how you'd do them now, but good luck.

We painted ours all the time before they could stick them in their mouths(1-5 months) and then started again when they stopped sticking them in their mouths all the time(11 months-now). Right now their toes are red. I paint theirs while they are in the high chairs and if I get any on their toes I leave it because after a few minutes of crawling all the polish on the toe has worn off.

My sister did my oldest DD's when she was about 2. It was mainly to distract her because she was sick and that helped with the holding still part. She also used one of those quick dry kind and only put on one coat. I've not painted our youngest DD's yet and she's almost 2 1/2. I think I'll wait as long as possible. I rarely paint my own and I already have a 7 year old wanting it done when I do mine, I don't really need my little one begging as well!!!

I painted the girls nails for the first time when they were about two and a half. I never thought of polishing them when they were babies. To be honest my DH isn't thrilled when he comes home and the girls show him their polished nails. He thinks that they're too young.

I waited until dd asked for it. No use in making extra work when not needed. I also want my kids to decide if they want stuff like that.
