I am spending my day off work with a cranky, sick Cody. He started on Saturday with a lot of drool (thought he was getting a new tooth) and by that night, he was running a fever. We also noted that he wouldn't suck his thumb. This kid LOVES his thumb! Sunday morning, the fever was higher, still drooling, still not sucking thumb, not wanting to eat of drink. Tylenol and motrin weren't doing anything for him. He wouldn't let us look in his mouth at the time, either so DH took him to the ER. (of course, things only happen on weekends) Poor guy has an ear infection AND a throat/mouth infection. Dr said that there were red bumps on his throat and we can see the white ones on his tongue and roof of mouth. He is starting slowly to feel a little better as in having small periods of time with a little energy and he is not crying quite as much when drinking. Food? Forget it. He will nibble on amimal crackers and some jello here and there. Crossing lots of fingers that somehow Jenner doesn't get it. Dr said it was very contagious.
