sick day

The girls and I still have fevers and congestion.. oh what fun. So I'm home with them today and while the tylenol is working well for them, as we approach the time for another dose they get so cranky. So what did I do being the great mommy that I am?! Turned on pbskids. We are watching some weird show with pigs and ducks with scottish accents. I know the recommendations of no tv before 2, but we are sick and I need something to get me thru the next half hour before they get another dose of tylenol. Well I've discovered that Meara loves TV. I turned it on and she turned to look and started laughing. Right now she is sitting in her exersaucer watching intently. Ana can care less, but Meara is so enthralled. Its so weird to watch an 8 month old watch tv.

LOL, yeah the show is called Jakers. I can't stand that one. I thought it was cute at first but the accents started getting on my nerves. T.v.'s not going to hurt them especially for 30 minutes or so. Try to relax the rest of the day and feel better.

 

I think it was about 8 months when I first popped in a Baby Einstein and hoped they would pay attention to it! You do what you have to do to get by sometimes. Hope everyone is better soon.
