sick babies and sleeping

if babies are eating, is it ok to let them sleep as long as they want if the have colds?

 

When mine had colds (during the day), I did not let them get too far off of schedule with eating, an hour off at the most. Overnight, they fed on demand. Hope your little ones feel better soon :hug:

 

when my boys are not feeling well I let them sleep as long as they want. For us the schedule is kinda out the window when they are sick anyway(except the feeds. Go with what will work best for you, if you find they need the sleep I say let them have it. If it is messing with their night sleep then you might want to wake them up sooner during the day. Usually my boys have a long nap during the day when they are sick and then maybe a couple short ones instead of two decent naps like usual. Hope your kids feel better soon

 

they woke at 10. fed them at 1130 and theyre still sleeping. they usually eat every 3 hours.

 

Yes, I always feel that sleeping helps cure the illness. If they need more sleep, let them. I hope they feel better soon!

I let my sleep because sleep is so important when they're sick. They will wake up and let you know they are hungry.

 

Colds or not, I never wake up my sleeping babies! For me if they are still sleeping that's because their body needs it. Moreover, growth hormone in babies is secreted mostly during the deep stages of their sleep. Hope your babies get well soon :hug:
