I'm experiencing sharp shooting pains in my right hip area and down into my leg today when I move certain ways. I'm assuming it's siatic nerve pain. I went to see my chiropractor (who knows of my preggo status) and it really didn't seem to help much so far. Anyone else experience this, and what did you do about it?

You may have to see your chiro several times, otherwise you need to find a position you find comfortable. My sciatica was rough during my pregnancy as well as carpal tunnel (which I never had before).

Ugh, sorry to hear about it! I've had sciatica on and off throughout. I do find that stretching REALLY helps.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! Same thing happenede to me early on as well. I went to my chiropracter and it would only help for one day then later on it didnt work at all. So I went to babies r us and bought a maternity belt (one of the good ones) that would hold up the stomach. I am a teacher so I was on my feet all day. I would have to wear it all day, even at home as it was the only thing that helped. Doc said I could take tylenol for the pain. I tried the belt first and it worked wonders! I still have it if you are interested in buying it at half the cost?? I paid $30 for it. I used it for a couple months until the "spreading of my sea floor" (that was my ongoing joke) stopped. Let me know if interested! Take care ..i know it is so painful!!!! <_<

Ouch! Sciatica pain is the worst
I had it only during my 1st trimester?? I did go to Physical Therapy and it helped a little bit, but not enough to make a huge difference.
Massage therapy helped quite a bit though.
    Hope it gets better soon!

I've had it with all my pregnancies but it's always been on the left. I have found laying on my right side (left for you) for a few minutes relieves a LOT of the pressure and it makes it bearable for a bit when I get up.

Horrible hip pain and sciatic nerve pain with my pregnancies. I also went to a chiropractor and it took several visits but he eventually got me fixed up. I don't know what I would have done without my Chiropractor.
