My DS used the big plastic Avent paci's. I was sitting there reading to them before nap and...he's teething pretty bad and often puts the paci sideways and bites on it...well, he shoved it right into his mouth and gagged on it (threw up alittle), I was able to get my finger in there to pry it out. OMG, it scared me.

From this point forward, we're dropping the paci for him...poor gym is screaming right now in bed because he's looking for it, but I can't take the chance he does that when I'm not around. I feel aweful for him but need him to be safe.

I never imaged he'd shove the whole thing in his mouth! Again, he's screaming and I so badly want to give him his comfort paci...I feel aweful.

    Beware.

Wow, that's crazy! :shok: I had no idea they could put the entire paci in their mouths!! I bet you were terrified, you poor thing! I don't blame you for ditching it now, if your DS choked on it. I'm so glad he's okay.

Oh my goodness, you must have got such a fright, thank goodness you were there!! I never used the avent ones, i use the mam ones, they are quite big, there is no way they can put the whole lot in their mouth, maybe, you could try a different kind if he still needs it for comfort?

 How scary!!! I wonder too if you could try some different kinds for him? I don't know if you wanted to get rid of the paci this soon or not though, so maybe this is a blessing in disguise, able to get rid of it early!
