Should I test?

I know this is the most redundant and idiotic question ever, but it's been on my mind, so I'm gonna ask it. I'm a week late, and I had sex once this month, 2 days before my fertile day. We have our twins due to IVF from male infertility. I am not using birth control because our chances of conceiving on our own are pretty low, and if we did conceive it would be a surprise blessing, although I am a little scared at the idea of being pregnant again so soon. Also, peeing on sticks scares the crap out of me. There's too much suspense waiting for the line to appear or not appear. What do you think - should I test or forget about it?

I stopped breastfeeding the girls in December, but haven't gotten my period yet. We have been very cautious, but I still worry and have tested just so I know. Maybe wait a week and then test. I think it is probably better to know than to worry.

 

If you are late then test...and hurry up and let us know what the results are

 

If it were me I would test b/c I couldn't stand the "not knowing". That being said. My periods have yet to get on track and I am on the pill. So maybe your cycle isn't back to it's orignal state esp. if you are bf. I say take the test and let us know how it goes

 

You should only test if you are going to share the results with us

If I'm even a day late, I test, even though I am on BC - it just freaks me out now!

 

My periods are like clockwork, and they have been since September, since I stopped nursing.

Okay, now I can't stand the suspense, so I'm gonna test. I'll post the results.

Hold on people! I don't even have any sticks! I have to go buy them, and it's snowing outside, my dh will be home late tonight, and it's a half hour to bedtime. So, the jury's out until tomorrow. I'll post as soon as I know!

you totally got to test! people that think they can't get preggo on their own...get preggo on their own as soon as the quit trying! it happens all the time!!

Oh wouldn't it be exciting if you WERE? Hehee. (We used IVF too - transferred two perfect little embryos).

My Doc said he couldn't tell us how many people got pregnant on their own once their body had experienced a successful pregnancy.

I hope I get preggers again too!!!

IVF here too... two embies, two babies! I would love to know though, I am starting to worry that might happen to us too.

YES Just FYI Dollar Tree (if you have one around) sells pregnancy tests! Only $1.00...its great, and they really work....all three of them I took when I couldn't believe I was really pregnant. You should have seen me when I found out it was twins!!! Maybe thats the reason they really work- it was double HA HA. Save your self some money. That way if its negative it doesn't feel like a wasted $10.00!

 

Okay..now it is killing me, too!!!! Two of my friends got pregnant after IVF and I had IVF and my mom always tells me to use birth control as we have male issues, too. TELL US!!!

Where do you live??? I will go buy you a test!

 

This is too funny! I had the exact same situation....and as soon as I decided I was gonna test the next day, AF made her grand appearance! (And I AM on the pill - just in case, due to a c-section).

Can't wait to hear the verdict!

Everytime I see a reply to this post I think its the results...HURRY UP!!! I thought I was pregnant last month...four days late, not pregnant. This month I was a week and a half early?? I have been having some problems though, but we did have a scare ourselves.

 

how exciting! I can't wait to hear the results!!
