I don't know why I was thinking of this, but should I sign up for childbirth classes? Never took them with my twins because I was on bedrest and ended up being a c-section due to baby A being breach. I love my OB and she said if I did deleiver the twins vaginally, she'd be there for me the whole time and I didn't need it.

Well this pregnancy feels like it's going to be a lot more normal, regular pregnancy. I'm thinking that those classes are really just for first time parents to have something to do while they're waiting for that baby to come out. Are they really that helpful? I think I've watch enough of those baby shows on tv, I can't imagine what I'd learn. Plus, if I had a free night each week, not sure that's where I'd want to be, lol.

    Waddya think?

DH & I took a multiples class for the twins. We went over breathing and such back then, but to be honest.. that was 3 years ago. I didn't remember much. I didn't take a class for my VBAC and it went just great. My labor nurse was wonderful.

My childbirth classes that I took with the twins didn't teach me much. I'd pretty much already read everything they had to cover.

With my son though I wanted a successful VBAC so much that I figured I'd up my odds by taking a Hypnobabies course. It was incredibly helpful and we'll be using the same method this time around. I think I would have easily ended up with another c-section if it weren't for that course and it's directions for relaxation and non-intervention.

While the shows like A Baby Story did allow me to witness some births, they mostly weren't the type of births that I wanted to have and they can be edited for dramatic effect.

I took a class when I was pg with the twins and I too feel it was a waste of time. They touched on breathing a bit but when your in labor you do what feels comfortable for you.

I also watched a ton of the baby stories on TV and I could have probably tought the class:(
