My oldest DD has had a runny nose/Cold for 2 weeks, she doesn't seem to have any other symptoms anymore except the nose, the buggies are clear, we are going to Disneyland this week and I don't want it to turn into anything more, so I thought about asking for a Antibiotic to take with us, but not give unless she gets worse. WDYT???

Could it be allergies? If the mucous is clear, it might be that. Both of mine have allergies and are on Claritin.

She has never had allergies before, and the intial onset was a cold, sore throat, throwing up etc, I keep wondering about allergies but the onset was so typical of a cold.

Since you are traveling to DL in a week I say GO TO THE DOC!!! Just do it. You have to just be sure! Hang in there!! :hug99:

My singleton daughter had a runny know for almost all the first year and now my twins are the same. Their runny know started at approx 6 months and we are now at 9 months and it is still going on. Admittedly, some days are runny and other days are crusty but we are never totally clear. I believe it is either just a side effect of teething or else their bodies building up immunities. From what I read as long as it is clear and there are no other symptoms there is no need to worry.

    Have fun on your trip.

I think I'd take her in to the doc. If she can be treated then great, if it's nothing then at least you know. I figure it's worth it either way. ;)

If you were not going away I'd say don't worry about taking her. My twins have had a clear runny nose for 2 weeks too, but no other symptoms. But since you are going away, I would take her in just to be safe.
