Should I get two bouncers?

I am wondering should I get two bouncers or just one? Some people say to use a circuit method - one baby in the bouncer, one doing tummy time, ect. So I am wondering if anyone found that having 2 bouncers made a difference or if just one would work?

    Thanks,
    Nic (expecting twins 3-13-09)

Yes, I found 2 bouncers incredibly helpful to give them a change of scenery when they were really little and if I needed to feed them alone I would put them each in a bouncy. GL with the rest of your pregnancy!!

I have two. One was from my older DD and when she was born my mom found one exactly like the one I had and bought it to keep at her house. When the twins were born, she brought it here and now we have the two exactly the same. I am big on matchy matchy. But that's my weirdness. Anyway, I couldn't imagine not having two. Neither one liked the swing and didn't like tummy time to begin with but loved and still do love their bouncers. Now we have done the same thing with walkers and they are getting used to it. Here is a pic of them in the bouncers.

    Hope this helps.

Some people might not agree, but having 2 bouncers has been a lifesaver for us. We use them both every single day.

We also have two bouncers, and it helps me out so much when I'm alone. When we have 'play time' I do move them around - we have a gym (i think thats what its called - a mat with toys overhead), a jumperoo, an exersaucer and we do tummy time. The bouncers are actually in the other room. I put them in there if I have to feed both from a bottle, or do something in the kitchen, etc.

Yes, I would highly recommend 2 bouncers! My girls are in them every day, especially since they have reflux- they sleep in them at night! I hope I'm not creating bad habits, but they vomit so much because of the reflux, I am afraid to have them lay down flat, so they sleep in the bouncers. I have different bouncers, just because I thought I could rotate them in case they got bored with one!

I highly recommend two bouncers. You only need one of everything else.

I have heard that two bouncers are a life saver. I have two also, but rarley used them w/ my twins. If I had to feed both at the same time, I would prop two pillows on the bed, and lay them both there, and feed them their bottles, but their heads would still be elevated. As they got older, I would hold one, and feed that one, and thirty mins later, feed the other one while the fed one had tummy time or went under the gym. Here is a list of what I have two of:

    -bouncers
    -bumbos
    -highchairs
    -exercausers
    -tummy time mats

It depends!! I ended up getting a 2nd one, but I hardly ever used it! One of mine liked the bouncer and 1 liked the swing, so that is usually what I used.

I had 2 bumbos, 2 high chairs, 1 exersaucer and 1 jumperoo (later) which I HIGHLY recommend- but again, depends on the babies!

I had 4 bouncers. 2 for at home and 2 that stayed in the car for when we went places. They were used A LOT at the pool over the summer.

I don't have 2 of anything, maybe b/c we use all of DS's old stuff. I like to rotate them to different things so they don't get bored. My house is already so full of stuff that I don't think I could even fit 2 of anything in it. My girls are already sitting up so I guess it's easier for me to say but we made it just fine with one of everything.

We had multiples of most things....we had 5 bouncers, 2 upstairs (I used those alot while in the shower or tub). 2 Downstairs, they got alot of use, as that is where we spent most of our time. and one at Grandma's that also got quite a bit of time in it!

Check your local Craigslist and pick stuff up second hand!

I looked up the bumbo because I hadn't heard of it, and it said that the bumbo was being recalled. See:

    http://www.product-reviews.net/2007/10/28/...seats-recalled/

the Bumbos were recalled only to put a warning sticker on them....not to use on elevated surfaces. We used ours many times and loved them!

I had two infant-to-toddler rockers and they were life savers. We used them up until they were two and a half--worth every penny we spent on them.

We had one bouncer and borrowed a second one. We used both of them when they were in the bouncers (up to 3 months or just a little after).

We only have one bouncer and one swing. It works fine for us. We have a small house and the one of each even gets in the way.

I highly recommend 2 bouncers. We originally had 2 bouncer seats and they recently outgrew those so we went to the infant to toddler rockers (which I wish I would have gotten to begin with). We now have a total of 6 (yes 6) infant to toddler rockers. 2 at our house, 2 at g'mas house and took 2 to daycare. This was a lifesafer for feeding when I was alone and now they can sit in them to hold their own bottles when the highchair is not out. Also, they will sit in them in the morning to watch Baby Einstein for 15 minutes in the morning while we are finishing up getting ready.

The only other thing I recommend 2 of is the boppy pillows. I used those in the beginning to feed them when I was alone and to prop them up.

Yes, I would get two. I'm home alone a lot and this is what I feed them in. They are also great for night time feedings so that you and DH can alternate nights and do the feedings alone while the other gets a full night's rest. GL.

I can't imagine not having two. It was especially useful when they were teeny, now it is also great for feeding and naps or just keeping them contained if they don't want to use the jumpers.

this is what i would do:) buy 2 bouncers-used or borrow if you can because they are short lived unless its the fun ones like the fisher price aquarium bouncer-my DD loves it still at 8 months--
buy 2 swings=borrow/used-this will be your god send in so many ways!
    1 gym floor mat
1 or 2 jolly jumpers! i wish i bought 2 tray type ones both girls love to jump in it!
1 EZ to nurse pillow for bottle or nursing-plus i use it now for behind them sitting and they use it under the jolly jumper( cant touch the floor)
2 exersaucers--has to be 2 and i will tell you; perfect for babies mobile and non mobile so you can get things done and still watch them play:) I use it to feed them together when its a quick meal and i have alot to do-lots of bibs/clothes
1 major toy- paino/learing toys--try to get ones that can be used for a while-fisherprice is great for these toys!
    highchairs-2 -
everything else you can get by with one and rotate--playpen for sure one they can play together in safety when they outgrow the exersaucer or want more space to play:)
