I'm 16 weeks now and I haven't even felt a flutter from the baby yet. Is this normal or do you think I should call the doctor? I'm probably just being paranoid.

Have you had an US yet?

Maybe drink some juice and sit back and wait for him or her to kick????

I am 15 weeks and still really haven't felt much either. I think they say positioning has a lot to do with it too. I bet you will feel it soon though. Don't worry and hang in there!!

placental position can really affect things too...I think I felt this baby around 14 weeks, but not very much until after 18 weeks or so.... I wouldn't worry too much.

Nope, I don't think there's a reason to worry. :D Lots of moms don't feel movement until at least 18+ weeks. As Susanna said, it also depends on the position of your placenta. If it's toward the front then that will make it harder for you to feel some of the earlier movements. Plus, remember that one week makes a huge difference. I'm always shocked at how much more I feel each week. Take care, and that awesome feeling is just around the corner!

Hey, I"m a week ahead of you and I haven't felt anything yet either.. that I know of.. been thinking it MAY be starting. I know with the twins, I had a placenta on the front of my stomach so I didn't feel anything until I was 20 weeks with them.

I felt very small flutters starting around 14 weeks which shocked me b/c with the twins I felt NOTHING until 19 weeks. So, that was a plesant surprise this time around.

Like pp said, a lot has to do with placental positioning. Mine is off to my right side adn therefore, I feel mostly everything on my left.

With this baby, I didn't start feeling kicks until 18-19 weeks...felt flutters for a month before that.

I wouldn't worry at this point, but like you said, that's easier said than done :)

when I was pregnant w/ the girls, my OB told me that the inside of the uterus has no feeling so if he/she is positioned
to where he is kicking the placenta or just not kicking hard enough - you won't feel anything.
