Shortness of breath . . . is this something to be concerned about?

Hey ladies,

Quick question -- for the past few days I have been feeling really short of breath. Is this something I should be concerned about? Its not the same feeling I get when the babies are up in my lungs -- it feels kind of like I'm having an asthma attack and changing positions doesn't alleviate the feeling. The other night the feeling kept me awake almost all night. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this late their pregnancy and if its indicative of anything.

I would go see your DR about it, especially if it is something that just started suddenly and you are not able to relieve it. It is probably nothing but its better to be on the safe side. Best of luck

 

I find I have had a harder time breathing in the last couple months. Not like pressure from the babies or stuffy but just like my lungs don't work as well. I find myself taking in deep breaths at times. But this has been gradual for me not sudden.

I'm sure everything is fine, but maybe get it checked out. Especially if it is keeping you awake--you need your sleep

 

This just started up for me in the last week or two also. I have asthma already, and it definitely feels like an attack!! I'm assuming it's bc there's just no more room...fun stuff.

 

It's probably normal, but I would check with your OB just to be sure. :hug: I can remember feeling out of breath, like I literally had to take a deep breath at times, to catch my breath.
