    Hi Ladies

Me- Often a lurker.. occasionally a poster cos I feel I am way behind most of u ladies and have no experience  .

The Q thats bothering me is if its okie to make short drives (Like 3.5 / 4 hrs) after 14 weeks when carrying twins?

Is is safe to do it..so far no complications in pregnancy ..but I had a missed miscarriage before in 8 weeks .. so everything scares me. Also I have started getting back pains from last 2 weeks and need to rest more often.

What is ur take on this subject ??

    Thanks girls
    Kash

    Hi Kash,
I have done trips of this length in the car (even as recently as last week) and I am 26 weeks now. My doc says it's fine as I am having no problems and my cervix is completely closed. I would keep in mind that your trip may be longer than expected due to frequent potty breaks! :)

    Hi there!!
I was commuting a few hours a day for most of my pregnancy & it seemed to be just fine. My dr. said that when it got too uncomfortable for ME to stop driving long distances. And also she wouldnt let me travel after something like 25-28 weeks??
When in doubt give your OB a quick call & let them know your concerns & see what they say :)

I'm 26 weeks and just got home from a 4 hour car trip last night. I'm stopping all travel after 28 weeks.

For that length of time, you should be fine. There are many people flying for longer that that later in the pregnancy (including me multiple times :)). Just make sure you get out and stretch every couple of hours and drink lots of water.
