Short Fuse

I've always had a short fuse, but I really think over the past week or so I've had a major surge in hormones because my tongue has been quick and I have been super short fused. I got into it with my husband tonight then snapped at my son. Of course, my son isn't phased because he loves his mommy and somehow he understands I don't feel good. But DH? CLUELESS!

    Sorry - ending rant here!

I know what you mean. It is aweful. I say things that I normally wouldn't say, strangers tick me off. I cry at things that I never would have thought about before. You're DH will probably get used to it, mine has. I reminded him in the beginning and just made sure he knew I wasn't necessarily taking things out on him, and didn't mean what I said, it just comes out. He has gotten to the point where most of the time he just looks at me or ignores it. I snap at my DS also, I don't think it phases him any. It is just one of those extra blessings of being pregnant.

Oh I so remember those days. My best friend still jokes that she swears for the first 4 mos of my last pg I called her up everyday and my first words were always "do you want to know what royally PISSED me off today"...she always tells me how glad she is that my hormones are back to normal!!!

it's so nice to hear that i am not alone in this! this is my third pregnancy and i have never been so emotional and crazy!!! i was so even hormonally with my son and quite the ***** with my daughter but this twins pregnancy is making me hormonal to the extreme! i cry. i get super frustrated. i am so short with my kids. poor things. they somewhat understand that i am not feeling well but it still stings (they are 4 and 2.5). poor things. it has gotten a little better now that i'm not as tired but still... i feel your pain.

I too feel that I am very impatient, but with me I know a lot of it is stress and the fact that I can't sleep much. (My DH has been going on "missions" that I know nothing about and can't know anything about. No communication. It is very hard on me.) I hate it when I feel like I am a grouchy mom though. I am glad to know I am not the only one going through this hormonal stuff.

With all the hormones surging thru your bodies it is only natural for you to feel that way. I was like that almost my entire pregnancy. But I did thank my dh for being so undertanding of my moods (after all he is 50% respon. for the way you feel) LOL. Make him understand that its normal and when the babies are there and you have very little sleep, it will continue, so best they get use to it NOW.
