I am new to posting but have been monitoring for awhile now. I have found so much good information on here so thank you all. I am expecting girls in July so I am at 24 weeks. At my last Peri appt I found out my cervix had changed from 3 to 2 and was put on bedrest until my next appt in 2 weeks. I was also told that there was some funneling. Now for my question.

I have been having a lot of braxton hicks contrations for the last two days. At least I believe they are BH. I have this horrible tightening in my tummy. I also have been feeling some pressure at the bottome of my stomach. I realize all of this is probably just me growing but am a little paranoid at this poiint. Guess what I am asking is do you think this is just BH or what? Thanks, just a little afraid.

Definitely start tracking those contractions as best you can. I can feel my contractions best when I'm on my back. They start at the top of my uterus and work their way down until my whole stomach is hard! My tummy gets a little contorted as it tightens around the babies. If you've got more than 4 an hour, definitely call your doctor. I'm in the exact same position as you. At 26 weeks, on strict bedrest, cervix is at 2 cm. Not sure about the funneling....My peri showed me how my cervix is "beaking"...could be the same thing....My docs also put me on meds to keep the contractions at bay. So that may be an option for you too. If anything doesn't feel right, make sure you call your doc...That's what they're there for!! GL!!

Welcome to Twinstuff and congrats on your twins.

I agree with the others, definitely start timing them and call your OB, especially since your cervix has already shortened, you don't want them to be real contractions and shortening your cervix even more.

Thanks everyone. I did call Dr. and she said if they continued to call her back and she wants to see me tonight. I had been keeping track and had 6 in an hour so she is concened but then haven't had any for the next hour. I am suppose to keep track for rest of night and then give her a call if they become bad. Thanks again.
