I went shopping at Walmart the other day. I thought I would look around a few minutes for last minute Christmas ideas and I needed to pick up a few groceries. I had to sit down 3 times because I was flat out tired!!!! My uterus would get tight and wow... it all of a sudden wasn't any fun. My DD (14) probably thought I was nuts having to sit down over and over again. I was glad to get it done and be able to go and sit in the car again. LOL! I swear in another month I will be using one of those motorized shopping scooters to get around! LOL! Anyway, anyone else feel this tired after shopping this early in pg?

I have stopped going shopping. Makes me too tired and gives me too many bh. Luckily I don't really like to shop, so don't feel like I am missing out.

I still do the grocery shopping, but only on days when I'm feeling good. Otherwise, I just ask my husband to pick things up at the store for me.

I also try to have my list ready when I get to the store so I can get in, get out, and get back in my car!!!

I am so with you on that!!! I love to shop and now I can't... :( This has to be the worst time of all too, with Christmas shoppers out and about. Seems like no matter where you go, you have to stand forever. I had to have my 14 year old push the cart! LOL!

I miss having fun shopping! I have a hard time with other tasks as well. I am happy to know that it's not just me!

I am right there with you! I think to myself honestly how am I going to do this if I am only 17 weeks and I can't walk through the store now without wishing I hadn't come. I am very lucky that DH does the grocery shopping and he can do that but I have no desire at all to go anywhere that involes me walking. How am I going to manage when I am furture along?

I have felt that way for most of my pregnancy, between the extreme fatigue and m/s in the beginning and then the added weight or whatever in the second trimester shopping is truly an experience. My poor DH will be walking along at our normal pace and then he will stop and look around because after a little while I can't keep up. :D I have a feeling it will only get worse as we get bigger. I just remind myself that as long as the babies are growing, I don't care how tired I get.

I so know what you mean!
I actually find short trips easier now than I did around week 20, because I have no choice but to walk/ waddle slowly, and everyone gets out of my way, offers me seats and their place in the queue cause I am so big :)

Last year I managed to walk around the mall and only take a break a couple times.

My 1st trimester was awful. I could barely stay awake. My 2nd trimester was great though. I was able to do everything.

I can say this though, it was all well worth it. My twins are a wonderful blessing!

Oh I am so glad (sorry) that I’m not the only one…I already told family that I love them but I am ordering gift cards… the couple place I have gone I brought my son, he stand in line while I sit somewere and calls me when its our time to check out… he HATES shopping but will do anything for these babies… I one time dropped something on the floor…. And I had a big shirt on, so I tucked it under my belly as I looked for what I dropped on the floor… my son came in thinking I was “grabbing” my tummy out of pain or something… dove to the floor under me and said… “are they falling out?” I think he thought he was going to catch them

Last night we went to our children's Christmas program at school. All 3 of the older children were walking ahead of me with my DH, while my 8 year old said she was going to walk with me so I didn't fall. My DH turned around about that time and had to wait for me to catch up!

I know exactly what you all are saying and it makes me feel much better knowing that I am not the only one!!!

I will tell you it only gets much worse. For the last six weeks of my pregnancy, I always used the motorized shopping carts. I felt like a dork, but it was the only way my DH and I could go shopping. So if you feel you need to, use one.
