    Hey all!

This is probably a TMI for some of you...but since yesterday I've been getting this shooting pain in my "nether regions". It feels like it's actually inside the ... canal? I guess. *shrugs*

    Has anybody else experienced this?

I'm fairly certain it's nothing to be worried about but I'm just curious what exactly it is that's causing it. I get it several times a day.

Could be one of your little ones kicking/head-butting your cervix? Every once in a while I'll get a jolt around the same area, the "canal," that I'm pretty sure is Baby A knocking his/her head against my cervix.

I got this all during my late second and third trimesters. I used to heat up a rice pack and put it on mu shorts down there! DH used to make fun of me, but I found that it helped. Its a horrible feeling that I was not a fan of! My OB also assured me that it was just someone dancing on my cervix :)

I started a thread on this several weeks ago and I got a lot of responses saying it's normal. My shooting/searing pain comes and goes (when it happens I have the urge to grab my crotch - ha ha). It's bad for a few days or even a week, and then not so bad for a few. It's worst when I stand up after sitting or laying down. I've been dealing with it for quite a while and it doesn't seem to be anything that affects the babies. Some people suggested a vericose vein or a nerve issue as the cause. Welcome to the laundry list of aches and pains you can expect :) Being pregnant with twins ain't for sissies!

I have been having pain for weeks now and don't remember anything quite like it with my previous 2 pregnancies. I get pain as described previously and sometimes it feels like my whole pelvis and pelvic bones are literally stretching and expanding outwards. This freaks me out a lot as I'll be having a c section and am paranoid about going into labour.
I also get a lot of back pain and hip pain which sometimes goes down into my knees. The joys!

I never had pain like that with my singleton, so I was completely caught off guard when I had it with the twins. But I assume it is just the bodies way of adjusting for two. It is definitely painful.

This may be my new mantra. Especially when my DH is royally ticking me off...as loving and supportive as he is...he's clueless!
