Right now Aiden is the only one trying to walk. They both wear the target version of robeez. I have tried buying shoes for Aiden but his feet seem so wide I can't fit them on his feet. Where should I go to get them? I tried Target and couldn't find wide size.

Especially if he has wide feet, it is probably worth going at least once to a real shoe store and having him measured. I'm not one of those who feel that kids need to have really high-end shoes, but it is important for them to fit pretty well so he's not uncomfortable. You may not be able to find what you need at Target -- is there a Stride Rite (or other kids' shoe store) near you?

I get W and XW shoes at Stride Rite. Them seem to have a good selection and fit my kids feet really well. Since he is trying to walk I would get a pair.

I didn't get them shoes until they were walking. My ds also needed wide shoes and we went to Stride Rite. They are a bit pricier then Target but I, too, think it's important for their feet to be comfy. Good luck! :)

I agree with PP you should get them measured at a good shoe store, I have always done Stride Rite. Once you have their measurements though I would look on-line and see if you can find some on sale...I saw that they had a bunch of Stride Rite shoes on Amazon for really good deals.

We didn't get shoes until one of our boys could actually walk. Ben walks all over in his shoes, but since Owen isn't walking yet he's much more comfortable in Robeez. We tried putting the shoes on him, but he's really uncomfortable crawling and cruising in them so we'll wait until he walks confidently.

We splurged on Ben's shoes and got a brand called "See Kai Run". They're known for having durable, flexible soles which are easier for babies learning to walk. They also come in ridiculously cute styles, and the different styles are suited to different foot shapes.

Here's a link to their site: See Kai Run

Stride Rite is supposed to be great too, and you can probably find things on sale from time to time.

I also took my girls to Stride Rite once they started walking. They grow out of them so quickly so I waited as long as I could before getting them fitted.

my ds is XW and dd is W, so we went to stride rite and got shoes there. we went to the outlet...shoes are half the price of the regular store. we got them just as they were really starting to walk.
